Q&A: Korg MA30 metronome- how to get a basic beat?

Question by Bluebear: Korg MA30 metronome- how to get a basic beat?
I’ve just started taking violin lessons and am trying to figure out my new metronome, here are the instructions http://www.korg.com/downloads/pdf/MA30_EFG2.pdf

They’re clear as mud to me-can anyone tell me how to get a basic 4/4 beat?

You will basicly scroll through the options and press your selections. You will be in Metronome mode when you turn on the power. The LCD will cycle through tempo, time signature, and input tap tempo settings each time you press the Metronome switch.

Setting the time signature
1. Press the Metronome switch so that the metronome is not operating. (The pendulum in the LCD will be stationary, pointing left.)
2. Use the up or down switches to set the time signature.
After you set the time signature, press the Metronome switch once to start the metronome.
