Question by 88Keys: Am planning to finally get a new metronome…what would you recommend?
- for a classical pianist (music major)
- affordable (under )
- volume control (not necessary, but preferred)
- non-pitched clicks/ticks/thunks/beats/whatever =)
- either NO chime on the first beat of a measure OR the option to turn it off
- fairly durable/long-lasting
If anyone has any personal experience with SQ-50’s, Sabine Zipbeat 6000’s and Matrix 500’s, I’d be grateful for your opinions. Thanks!

I have used a Seiko SQM 358 for a number of years and it works well (not sure if it is still available). I have no experience with the other models you listed.
